Now that you have an export you can make the necessary edits to ensure your portfolio is accurately represented to buyers in your market.
Edits can consist of price updates as well as adding and removing products.
SevenFifty requires certain fields to be completed to successfully add a product to your portfolio.
These fields ensure our data cleaning team has the necessary information to: identify a product, standardize the name, and enrich it further. Please watch our additional videos to learn more about the fields on this file and how to upload your portfolio to SevenFifty.
Please don’t change the column headers. If you do, your file won’t load properly.
Removing a Product from your Portfolio
There are two ways to remove a product from your portfolio.
-
Delete the row (recommended). If the product is not something you’re going to bring back later, you could choose to delete the row entirely.
-
Leave the product on the spreadsheet and set the Status column to end_of_vintage.
Adding a Product to your Portfolio
To add a product, complete the minimum data requirements as indicated by the headers. Additional data points are optional but encouraged.
In Depth Review of Fields
Let's review the column headers in your portfolio export to gain an understanding of what they mean and how to fill them out properly.
SKU
SKU, or ‘stock keeping unit’ is a required field and refers to the unique item code for identifying your products.
SevenFifty uses the SKU as a unique identifier for a product. Before submitting your update, be sure to check that all skus are only used once.
SKUs must be unique to one product. Re-using a SKU that’s been used before will result in products not loading correctly even if that SKU is not longer active.
Status
This field is a drop down menu with the available product statuses on SevenFifty. You can select from active, coming soon, discontinued, end of vintage, limited availability, and deals.
The active, coming soon, limited availability, and deals statuses are visible statuses for buyers in the marketplace, while end of vintage and discontinued statuses removes the product from the marketplace.
If this field is left blank SevenFifty will interpret the status as ‘active’.
For a product to appear on the site, it must have an active status (active, coming soon, limited availability, or deals) and a price.
Producer Name and Product Name
Both the producer and product names fields are required as they are the main pieces of information our data cleaning team uses to identify a product.
Provide as much data as possible in these fields, including style types like adding red or white if the wine is ambiguous, Bottled in Bond for spirits, or IPA for beers.
SevenFifty standardizes all producer and product information so that information may not appear on the site exactly as it does on the file.
Appellation
While not required, this field is critical to our data cleaning team in cases where a producer may have a Chardonnay from both Sonoma Coast and Napa Valley.
Including the appellation in cases like this means our team will be able to load your items to the SevenFifty marketplace more quickly.
Supplier
Use this field to enter the supplier associated with this product. It will appear on the product detail page on SevenFifty.
Adding or changing the supplier name will overwrite what appeared in this field previously. For example, if the previous file listed Dogfish Head as the supplier and it is now listed as Dogfish Beer on the most recent file, SevenFifty will replace Dogfish Head with Dogfish Beer.
Vintage
If applicable, fill in the vintage of the product as a four digit number. Non-vintage (as NV) or Multi-vintage (as MV) are also supported.
Size
All products require a size and size unit.
This field represents the container volume e.g. “750” for a 750 milliliter bottle.
Size Unit
All products require a size and size unit.
This required field represents the units of volume. You have a dropdown menu with the available units that SevenFifty currently accepts. They are: milliliters, liters, fluid ounces, and gallons.
Case Size
This required field should be used to list the total number of units within a case. SevenFifty also uses this field to calculate the case price based off of the listed front line bottle price.
This is a dynamic field, meaning whatever is entered in this field when you upload the file will overwrite anything previously entered for this SKU.
Sleeve Size
This field is used for scenarios where individual packs are within a larger case. This field represents the number of bottles within the individual packs.
For example, if the case contains 4 packs of 6 bottles, SevenFifty recognizes this as a case size of 24 and a sleeve size of 6. Whatever is entered in this field when you upload the file will overwrite anything previously entered for this SKU.
Container Type
This required field represents the type of container the product is sold in. Select from the dropdown menu from SevenFifty’s recognized container types.
UPC
If you have a UPC code associated with this product, add it here. It will appear on the product detail page on SevenFifty. Whatever is entered in this field when you upload the file will overwrite anything previously entered for this SKU.
Price Effective Date
The Price Effective Date represents when you want a price to appear to buyers. The effective date must be entered as a four digit year, two digit month, and two digit day format (YYYY-MM-DD). Note, if the file converts the format automatically to MM/DD/YYYY this will be accepted.
Frontline Price (bottle)
This is the price a buyer pays as your frontline price per unit. SevenFifty requires this price to ensure the product is visible to buyers in the marketplace. This price should represent the cost for a buyer to purchase a single unit of an item. The frontline case price will then be calculated based on frontline bottle price multiplied by case size.
All products require either a frontline bottle price OR frontline case price, but not both. Please only enter one or the other to avoid rounding issues.
If you enter both frontline bottle price and frontline case price and the frontline bottle price multiplied by the case size does not equal the frontline case price, then a single case discount will be created automatically.
Frontline Price (case)
This is the price a buyer pays as your frontline price per case. SevenFifty requires this price to ensure the product is visible to buyers in the marketplace. This price should represent the cost for a buyer to purchase a single case of an item. The frontline bottle price will then be calculated based on frontline case price divided by case size.
All products require either a frontline bottle price OR frontline case price, but not both. Please only enter one or the other to avoid rounding issues.
If you enter both frontline bottle price and frontline case price and the frontline case price divided by the case size does not equal the frontline bottle price, then a single case discount will be created automatically.
IF YOU HAVE COMPLEX PRICING
‘Complex pricing’ includes channel and price group pricing. These columns will only appear on your export if 1) they have been activated and 2) at least one product in your portfolio has that pricing.
Level 1 Price (case) and Level 1 Quantity (case)
This pricing will only display if you have quantity discounts. Level 1 pricing represents the first discount level.
In the Level 1 Price (case) field, enter the discounted case price and in the Level 1 Quantity field, enter how many cases are needed to achieve the price you entered. You can do this for all subsequent discounts or you can add additional discounts after the product has been loaded to SevenFifty.
Level 1 Special price group code
This field is used to represent certain special discounts. If you have price groups activated, you will be able to select it from a dropdown menu.
Group Name | Code | Description |
Mix/Match | MIX | These discounts can be reached by purchasing an assortment of products. For more information about which products assort together, check with your sales rep. |
Assortments | ASST | These discounts can be reached by purchasing an assortment of items. For more information about which items assort together, check with your sales rep. |
Family Plan | FAM | These discounts can be reached by purchasing an assortment of products within the same brand family. For more information about which products assort together, check with your sales rep. |

Level 1 Internal price
This field allows you to select between published and internal. The values for this field are True or False. A published price is visible to all buyers in your market, while an internal price is only visible to employees at your company.
Channel
If applicable, channel pricing refers to channel-specific pricing for on-premise or off-premise customers.
If this is not applicable, specify ‘All’.
Do Not Print
If pricebooks are enabled, marking Do Not Print = TRUE will keep that product from appearing on pricebooks. If this field is left blank, Do Not Print is assumed to equal FALSE and therefore those products will be printed in pricebooks.
Full Case Only
If a product can only be purchased in full cases then Full Case Only = TRUE will show the product as full case only and will showcase a note that says, “This product is only available for purchase in full cases.” If this field is left blank, Full Case Only is assumed to equal FALSE.
Hidden
If Hidden = TRUE, this product will not be published to Buyers on SevenFifty, but is visible to your internal team. If this field is left blank, Hidden is assumed to equal FALSE and will therefore show on the site to Buyers.
