When processing a new product, if the Data Team is unsure of a product’s identity, including geography and appellation, they’ll ask the distributor to provide the missing piece of information or to clarify something that might be ambiguous. This is more common for new products where information is not yet available.
Products that require clarification don't get loaded until we receive the requested information.
Thorough answers are critical to making sure products show up correctly on the site. Tech sheets, producer URLs that point to the product, or even label images, are usually sufficient to get the product added to a distributor’s portfolio.
