In this article:
Appellations or legally recognized geographic indications are added to the Appellation field. Since SevenFifty’s Browse view doesn’t show the appellation field, it is added to the product name if it’s a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) or its equivalent (e.g. AOP, DO, DOC, DOCG, AVA). Protected Geographical Indications (PGIs) or its equivalents are only added to the product name if they appear on the front label (e.g.IGP, State or County).
SevenFifty is only able to list one appellation per product. If more than one geographic indication exists on the front label, e.g. ‘60% Napa Valley / 40% Sonoma Valley’, the appellation field is left blank and the appellations are added to the Product Name.
Whereas the appellation (e.g. Barolo) is added, the appellation quality level (e.g. DOCG) is not included in the product name and will be removed automatically by SevenFifty.
