In this article:
This error message occurs when a product in SevenFifty already exists with the same sku / vintage combination.
Although it's not recommended, SevenFifty allows the same sku to be used across multiple vintages of a product. Hower, SevenFifty will not allow you to add a product with a sku and vintage combination that already exists in SevenFifty.
In this example, all of the skus are '90999' and vintages are unique. Adding a product with sku '90999' and vintage '2013' would result in an error since that vintage / sku combination already exists. The error would occur even if the status is 'end of vintage' or 'discontinued'.
To avoid this error, the newly added product must have a different sku and vintage combination than all active or inactive (end of vintage or discontinued) products.
Troubleshooting
To troubleshoot, you'll need to find the duplicate that already exists in SevenFifty.
- Entering the sku into the Search bar will surface products with that sku only if it's active and has pricing. Note that in this example, all of the vintages are different.
- Or download a copy of your portfolio (including all inactive products) in order to see all of the active and inactive products in your portfolio.
If the product already exists in SevenFifty, add pricing and change the status to 'active'. It may take a few minutes for the product to appear.
Or create a new product with a sku and vintage combination that has never been used before.
